Having lived a life connected to nature, raw with the elements, alive with adventure, and into the depths of the mind, body and spirit, Matthew has never been interested in theory alone, choosing a lived application of direct experience and practice to bring forth his method and medicine.

Ever a student, he has immersed his own learning with support from wisdom teachers, elders and traditions from around the world. And while he greatly appreciates his human guides, his primary tutors have been the mountains, the sacred fire, and the plants. Nature herself ultimately guides the way.
